Jerry Falwell Jr. says wife had affair, family faced blackmail attempt

Jerry Falwell Jr., currently on a leave of absence as the leader of evangelical Liberty University, has released a statement saying that he is seeking help for the "emotional toll" from an affair his wife had with a man who he says later threatened his family.

Religious groups square off ahead of major Supreme Court adoption case

Legal memoranda filed ahead of a deadline in the U.S. Supreme Court case between a Roman Catholic adoption agency and the City of Philadelphia show a bitter split amongst faith groups on the question of whether non-discrimination provisions to protect same-sex parents, in fact, uproot religious ministries of childcare dating back centuries.

D.C. man charged with $2 million coronavirus relief scheme

Federal prosecutors have charged a D.C. man with fraudulently applying for and collecting more than $2 million in coronavirus relief funds, which they say he used to buy a $1.13 million townhouse, a $300,000 yacht and a $46,000 luxury sports sedan.
